This is how I usually use them:

• Cast on, and count to 25.
•  Put in the correct counting marker stitch
• When I get to 125, I remove the 25 marker and place it in the new position.

It works great! You only have to count each set of 25 ONCE, and when you are casting on a lot of stitches this really helps! Locally made.
