Aether Cowl Class - Spring 2026!

Aether is the ancient Greek word for space  and this cowl is definitely out of this world! It's beautiful and made of only four basic stitches you probably already know: knit, slip, knit-front-and-back, and Knit 2 together. Simple stitches but what a fabulous outcome! This cowl uses a form of colorwork called Mosaic - which means even though there are two colors you only EVER knit with ONE color at a time!  No worrying about tangled yarns, no worrying about your tension between colors! The pattern has both charts and words. If you have wanted to try some colorwork this is a fun way to begin.  If you have done colorwork, but not Mosaic, come play with us! It's fun! We need four students signed up to run the class.

Class Includes:

• 3 one-hour classes
• Infinite check ins until the project is complete (use the 15 Minute Free Check In With Dorothea listing to schedule)
  
• 15% off yarn for the class

You will need:

• 1 Skein of Fingering yarn (at least 250 yds)
• 1 Skein of a contrast yarn (at least 200 yrds)
• US #5 circular Length doens't matter knitting needles
• Stitch markers
• Elements: Aether Pattern from Ravelry

Knitting knowledge:

• You must know how to knit
• You must know how to purl

You will learn:

• Provisional cast on
• Mosaic knitting
• Following a mosaic knitting pattern
• Three needle Bind off
• Weaving in ends

Each class will be one hour long and will cover multiple topics.  We are excited to give you tips and tricks to making this cowl a fun project. Register for the class and then come to which sessions work best for your schedule! You can see the schedule of classes on our events page. Classes start April 28th.

We must have 4 students register for the class to happen.
